Kissing, a prelude to sex

What's in a kiss

"A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous". Ingrid Bergman

What are the origins of Kissing? Why do we kiss someone to show them we are interested or in fact ready to have sex with them. Of course it was the French who are reputed to have been the first to use kissing as a signal to those you love or wish to love.

Reputedly, it was figure dancing that was fashionable and on finishing the dance it was traditional to kiss your partner. As this became more common place the kiss, a pleasant experience for all was varied a simple peck on the cheek for an acquaintance and a passionate embrace for someone you wished to start dating.

As time has passed, the kiss has been well recorded with many artists particularly notable is "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt similarly it is used extensively with extensive graphic detail by many authors, further sculptors such as Rodin produced the famed erotic statue 'The Kiss'.

Kissing is even in the Guinness book of records Bobbi Sherlock and Ray Blazine managed 130 hours and 2 minutes during a marathon kissathon on 1978. On screen the longest recorded kiss so far was between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommy in the movie You're in the Army Now.

A kiss can have other meanings too, it has been a customary greeting and sign of reverence for time immemorial. The Russian Tsar would kiss to show respect. In roman times one emperor gave different meanings to his kisses depending on where they were given, his "kiss spots". This ranged from the lips for nobles through the hand for those seen as less important to his feet for the lowest of the low. Judging purely by social rank.

Everyone knows the kiss of life taught by many an institution in the guise of first aid, whereas gangsters administer the kiss of death. People are not alone in receiving kisses many owners kiss their animals, while the popes ring and the blarney stone in Ireland have received their fair share of kisses.

A kiss or two on the cheek has long been the general greeting between Arabs and Mediterranean men while this has only spread recently across more of Europe even to England where they are often unsure whether they should do it to other men or how many kisses are acceptable. The French on the other hand are well known for the kiss on both cheeks and in Holland there is a third added as well.

Romancing a new love is likely to require a kiss or snogging session, many find this comes as second nature while others are not natural kissers. There are whole web sites devoted to the art of kissing with a plethora of advice available on the subject; fresh breath, moistened parted lips and the eyes shut are seemingly essential ingredients in producing a successful kiss.

Many women swoon in the presence of a good kisser, ladies who find a man who can kiss take note and hold on to him. You might never find another who treats you so well. Men should learn how to kiss well, fist impressions last and if you can kiss well your chances of reaching the naughty bedroom are so much higher.

Ideas for Guys to impress the girls on a date

Singles Dating Girls always have a problem, where can you start when you take a girl out on the first date. Everyone knows its first impressions that last so how do you make sure your impression on her is right.

Here are a few ideas to help you get it right

1. You should know the old favourite everyone's into a good picnic. Sure its a classic but for a first date its still a hot choice. Make sure you do it right though spend time on it dont just flash the cash its supposed to be fun.

2. Take a trip to an airpoort and watch the aeroplanes lift off. It could be difficult, but you can often finda place by the motorways and roads close to the runways. Try lieing down on the bonnet of your car or combine it with the picnic and watch as the aircraft pass overhead.

3. Arrange a romantic evening with special treats and soft music. If you know her well enough dig out her favourite tunes and play them in sequence on your ipod as relax together.

Dating Ideas for Girls

Girls can ask a man out too

Many girls think its up to the man to make the first move but often men can feel intimidated. Remember they don't mature as fast as you, also its a common myth that a man will think in the same way as a girl. Don't expect him to know just because you look at him in a sultry sexy way that he knows you want him to fuck you hard.

Its not that straight forward many men spend hours wondering how to ask you out, but then when the time comes they fall over their words and just can't manage to get the courage up. Why is this? Often its a simple lack of experience, but it can be experience at a young age which puts them off. Young girls can be cruel in school for example teasing the immature boys and putting them off talking to girls never mind asking them out on a date.

If you really fancy a guy go ahead and ask him out yourself on a fun date. Here are a couple of ideas to get you started;

1. Go roller skating or maybe ice skating. If you are experienced and he says know it might be because he doesn't know how, offer to helm him learn. On the other hand if you know he can, ask him teach you, even if you know how already. It will make him feel good about himself and less self conscious if its something he knows he's good at. This is the type of date which is is an excellent ice breaker since both of you could embarrass yourselves so much that you will just have to laugh. Think about how you can use it to get close beforehand, maybe a bit of day dreaming. After the event you can be sure he will remember and fantasise about you and its guaranteed he will be going a lot further than he did in real life. Maybe next time you can kiss him passionately

2. Take a long romantic walk, you could always stop off for a drink on the way too. OK so this is really obvious but its often the simple things in life which make the difference. You will be surprised about how much difference it actually makes. You can actually get to know a person by talking to them, give him a chance to talk to you and you'll soon have an incling about what he's looking for when dating. After all, there's nothing like the loss of inhibitions you will both get from a quick drink and plenty of time to discuss them as you walk back. Who know you might get more than you bargained for when you get home and invite him in for a coffee
